University Planning
The University of Sydney Strategic Plan identifies the university community's education priorities from 2011-2015.
The University's governance structures were renewed in 2011 to support this plan with the establishment seven Divisions and a range of new subcommittees of SEG. Several of these subcommittees support education initiatives and the Director ITL contributes to this work as a member of the following:
- SEG Education committee
- SEG Curriculum and Course Planning committee
- SEG Community Engagement committee
- SEG Research Training committee.
The ITL contributes to a range of Vice Chancellor's Workslate Projects and the DVC(E)'s Education Portfolio initiatives.
The ITL also contributes to strategic teaching and learning planning and development through its membership of the University's Academic Board.
The ITL convenes and Chairs the ITL-Associate Deans Learning & Teaching Group to support the work of the University community in enhancing teaching and learning. It supports the teaching enhancement work of the DVC (Education), the ITL, the Deans and others involved in teaching development in faculties and divisions. It also provides a forum for consultation and critical discussion in support of relevant SEG sub-committees, in particular the Education sub-committee and the Curriculum and Course Planning sub-committee.
