EDPZ 5010 - Individual professional learning portfolio
| Type: | Optional unit of study |
| Staff: | Louise Sutherland |
| Assessment: | Professional learning portfolio |
This unit of study is designed to enable educators, with the support of a mentor, to document and engage in critical reflection on a particular focus of advanced professional workplace learning in their recent experience. The work of professional educators has changed significantly in recent years and is subject to continuous, and often rapid, change. For many participating in significant programs of educational reform, this involves advanced and extended learning. This unit provides you with the opportunity to develop a professional learning portfolio where learning can be documented and critically examined. The unit can be completed as a standalone course through the Faculty’s Division of Professional Learning. However, if you subsequently, or simultaneously, choose to pursue your professional studies within the Graduate Diploma or Master of Education program, this IPLP will be credited as one completed diploma or Master’s unit. Those interested in this area of professional learning might also consider at a later date the possibility of completing the Professional learning leadership portfolio. (EDPZ6010).
The Postgraduate Supervision Development Program may be completed for this unit.
