This unit of study focuses on the individual participants learning and professional development. In the unit, participants develop an individual professional learning portfolio based on an authentic development task. This might be:
- Developing a teaching portfolio for a promotion application
- Developing a university or national teaching award application
- Developing a professional learning plan and portfolio for PM&D
- Preparing a learning journal
- Preparing a HERDSA Fellowship portfolio
- Another appropriate task by negotiation
This portfolio will draw on your learning over the semester, informed in particular by your learning in the accompanying unit of study EDPR 5011, the Scholarship unit. Your professional learning portfolio is an opportunity for you to focus on your professional development as a university teacher studying the graduate certificate and is intended to support participants in developing a professional development strategy that will continue beyond the completion of the course.
