Principles and Practice of University Teaching and Learning

In this joint ITL/faculty program, you will be given a basic introduction to higher education teaching and learning principles and an introduction to faculty culture. In learning how best to facilitate the learning of your students you will develop some practical teaching skills.

The core of this program is currently run over two days in February, June and September. Some faculties have included additional elements on later dates. If you wish to register for the programs please do so below. You will receive a certificate of completion from the ITL/faculty upon completion of all components.

The program forms part of the University's confirmation process for the appointment of continuing staff (see page 8), and is also a requirement for anyone intending to do the year long Graduate Certificate taught by ITL staff. The program forms part of one of the units of study in the Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies (Higher Education). The program is designed for University staff, and certain selection criteria apply. Prospective external fee-paying participants should contact us directly.
