Principles and Practice of University Teaching and Learning

In this program facilitated by ITL academic staff, you will be given a basic introduction to higher education teaching and learning principles. In learning how best to facilitate the learning of your students you will develop some practical teaching skills.

This program is currently run in February, June, October and November. If you wish to register for the programs please do so below. You will receive a certificate of attendance from the ITL upon completion.

The program forms part of the University's confirmation process for the appointment of continuing staff (http://www.usyd.edu.au/hr/policydev/RandS_31may06.pdf), and is also a requirement for anyone intending to do the ITL's Graduate Certificate. The program forms part of one of the units of study in the Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies (Higher Education). The program is normally restricted to University staff only, and certain selection criteria apply. Prospective external fee-paying participants should contact us directly.
