This program provides a central resource for the professional development of casual academics who have teaching roles.
The roles typically filled by casual academics include: tutors, lab demonstrators, clinical placement supervisors, other workplace placement supervisors, and lecturers.
Many casual academics complete Faculty or discipline-based professional development or orientation sessions, but some are unable to attend these sessions or are looking for further resources.
This program draws on higher education research, the principles of good teaching and practical suggestions from experienced teachers at the University of Sydney.
This program has been developed by Amani Bell from the ITL with input from the Associate Deans Learning and Teaching. James Tracy provided technical and design support.
