Transport from Canberra airport to hotel
Taxi is the best means to get from the airport to your hotel either James Court Hotel Apartments or University House and the cost is approximately $15-20.
There is a shuttle bus service from Canberra Airport to the city. Find information on the web for this service at http://www.deanesbuslines.com.au/airliner.htm

Conference registration and payment
Registration will be at the Common Room at University House on Tuesday 30 April from 16:00 until 18:00 and at the Manning Clark Centre foyer on Wednesday 1 May from 08:00 until 09:00. Payment of fees may be made by credit card, cheque or bank draft payable by an Australian bank.
Registration entitles you to attend all conference sessions, the cocktail party, three dinners , lunches on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, travel between Canberra and Sydney as well as a conference satchel.
Day registration entitles you to attend the conference sessions on that day, lunch and refreshments on that day and a conference satchel.

Conference activities
There will be a cocktail reception followed by an informal dinner at University House at The Australian National University on Tuesday 30 April. On Wednesday 1 May dinner will be at the ANU Union. The conference dinner will be held in MacLaurin Hall at the University of Sydney. All of these functions are included as part of the registration.

Computer access at ANU
Some computers will be available for delegates in room G22 of the Copland Building and can be accessed with this password: apru2002

Transport to and from ANU campus and hotels
There will be coach transport to the Manning Clark Centre on Thursday 2 May from James Court hotel at 08:15 and University House from 08:30.

Travel between Canberra and Sydney
A number of coaches will transport delegates from outside the Drill Hall Gallery in Kingsley Street on the ANU campus from 13:30 on Thursday 2 May. They should arrive at Rydges Camperdown in Missenden Road adjacent to the University of Sydney campus at approximately 17:00. Cost of this transport is included in the registration.

Transfer of luggage on Thursday 2 May
The coach that collects you from the James Court Hotel and University House will also transport you to Sydney after lunch. The coaches will be secured after dropping you off in the morning and you may leave your luggage on board. The coaches will not have time to return to your hotel after the morning sessions before setting out for Sydney.

Transport to and from University of Sydney
The Rydges Camperdown hotel is a 10 - 15 minute walk from the conference venues at the University of Sydney campus so some coaches will be provided to leave the hotel at 18:45 to MacLaurin Hall for the dinner on Thursday 2 May. They will return to the hotel at 22:00 and 22:30.


Coach transfer will also be available on Friday 3 May at 08:30 from Rydges to the University of Sydney for those who need to have their luggage with them so that they can leave immediately after the final session. A secure room at the Eastern Avenue complex will be available for luggage.

Banks, ATMs, pharmacy, shops etc
Both campuses have these facilities.
