Vice-Chancellor's Awards for Learning and Teaching

The University of Sydney seeks to promote, recognise and reward teaching excellence, and the systems that support teaching excellence, through four categories of Vice-Chancellor's Awards. Individuals or teams who receive an award are given $10,000 and, in some cases, the opportunity to be nominated for national awards.

If you are thinking of applying for one of the VC Awards, please click on the relevant link below for information, including selection criteria, application forms and other resources.

Indigenous Education strategic bonus awards offered by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous Strategy and Services) seek to promote, recognise and reward outstanding contributions to Indigenous education at the University of Sydney (see PDF). Applicants for any of the VC’s Awards who wish their application to be considered also under the bonus scheme should tick the appropriate box on the award application form.

The application processes for the teaching awards and grants are managed by the ITL. For academic support attend the workshops organised by ITL and download the resources. The ITL contact for academic support is  Alison Kuiper.  For administrative enquiries email the ITL.
