OLT Awards for Teaching Excellence
Teaching Awards celebrate a group of the nation’s most outstanding university teachers in their fields. Teaching Awards give recognition to teachers (individuals and teams) renowned for the excellence of their teaching, who have outstanding presentation skills and who have made a broad and deep contribution to enhancing the quality of learning and teaching in higher education.
There are eight categories of Teaching Awards: five discipline categories, the Neville Bonner Award for Indigenous Education, an early career category and an annual priority area. The Priority Area for 2012 is: Teaching a diverse student body. Up to 16 Awards are made nationally.

Step 2These resources may help you in completing your application. Consult the successful applications kept at the ITL reception, Carslaw 387, during business hours. Contact the ITL for assistance with your application. |

Step 3Contact people in your faculty for support or mentoring - for example, your faculty Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching) or previous award winners. |

Step 4Prepare your application, noting carefully the criteria and requirements. |

Step 5Submit your application online to the ITL 5pm Wednesday 30 May 2012.No hard copies will be accepted. |

|
Step 6The applications selected by the University will receive additional support in fine-tuning their application prior to submission to the OLT on 12 July 2012. |
