OLT Awards for Programs that Enhance Learning

Program Awards recognise learning and teaching support programs and services that make an outstanding contribution to the quality of student learning and the quality of the student experience of higher education. The programs and services that receive Program Awards must have demonstrated their effectiveness through rigorous evaluation and will set benchmarks for similar activities in other institutions.

There are seven Program Award categories:

• Widening participation.
• Educational partnerships and collaborations with other organisations,
• The first-year experience.
• Flexible learning and teaching.
• Innovation in curricula, learning and teaching.
• Postgraduate education.
• Services supporting student learning.

Up to 12 Awards with a prize value of $25,000 each will be granted across the seven categories in 2012.

	Step 1 Take a look at the criteria and requirements for Programs Awards here (see pages 11-14 of pdf). Download the nomination form (word).
	Step 2 These resources may help you in completing your application. Consult the successful applications kept at the ITL reception, Carslaw 387, during business hours. Contact the ITL for assistance with your application.
	Step 3 Contact people in your faculty for support or mentoring - for example, your faculty Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching) or previous award winners.
	Step 4 Prepare your application, noting carefully the criteria and requirements.
	Step 5 Submit your application online to the ITL 5pm Wednesday 30 May 2012. No hard copies will be accepted.
	Step 6 The applications selected by the University will receive additional support in fine-tuning their application prior to submission to the OLT on 12 July 2012.
