Expressions of Interest
An Expressions of Interest component has been introduced into the applications process for STEPs. As the divisions may wish to use the EoIs to make judgements about which projects go forward with divisional support, it would normally be up to the division to say what they want in the EoI, but what is given below may be used as broad guidelines if nothing is available from your division.
An EoI might contain about a page addressing the key elements of the overall required submission, but in an abbreviated form. It might include a sentence each for:
- Title
- Link to, or mention of, a faculty/division/university strategy
- Which of the 4 RELT/CELT options is being addressed
- The inquiry/development question
- Likely budget (approximately)
And then a paragraph each on:
- The solution to the problem/inquiry being addressed (how will you do it?)
- Any special elements - shared with other faculties, building on other work, etc
